Further Test Piece Information for 2017

Class 24 - Soprano solo.
There are several published editions of Purcell's Hark the echoing air.  Any reasonably authentic edition may be offered provided the key is B flat, and if not the edition supplied here, a copy for the accompanist must be sent with the entry, and a copy for the adjudicator provided on the day of the competition.  Relevant pages from the Novello vocal score of The Fairy Queen, from which this solo is taken, as available on the IMSLP website, can be downloaded free:     Download Hark the echoing air.

Class 25 - Contralto solo
Elgar's music is now in the public domain, and you can download The Shepherd's Song in E flat here.

Class 26 - Tenor solo
Where'er you walk is published in various editions.  If you choose an edition other than that from the Novello vocal score of Semele, it must be key B flaty, and you must provide a copy for the accompanist (sent with your entry), and a copy for the adjudicator (on the day).  You can download the relevant pages of Semele here.
